Problem Note 52851: The SAS® Financial Management FMQuery macro fails with an error indicating that a member does not exist in the hierarchy

The SAS Financial Management macro FMQuery can be used to extract facts from a SAS Financial Management model. A problem has been reported that might cause FMQuery to fail with an error similar to the following:

This problem might occur in the following scenario:

  1. You delete a dimension member that is included in the model from the dimension hierarchy.
  2. You restart the middle-tier servers (SASServer3 and SASServer4).
  3. You add back the dimension member to the hierarchy.

To resolve this issue, restart SASServer3 and SASServer4.
